Sometimes we forget to switch off the lights after using it. That would cause additional and unnecessary expenses for electricity. There's a simple way to make switching off the lights or the switch for that matter almost habitual and automatic. Since I started talking on switch, that's how I am going to approach it. Think of leaving your room, then look at your light switch and approach it. Then turn it off and get out of the room. Walk a little outside, and afterwards return, to your room. Stay inside for a moment and once again think about leaving your room. Then once again look at your light switch and approach it. Then once again turn it off and get out of the room. And once again, walk a little outside, and return afterwards, to your room. Repeat all of it for maybe about five, seven or ten times or a little more. This would make switching off your lights almost automatic. You will automatically switch your lights off every time you leave your room. This is so because we humans have a muscle memory, and we tend to automatically repeat things almost effortlessly if we had done it many times. That is the purpose of the exercise to make you do the switching off of the lights as many repetitions as possible so your mind, or body, or your hands or fingers would acquire a memory for doing it. This would cause you some amount of savings for your electricity and say, safety for your house, lights could overheat and could cause fire. You can also apply this exercise on many other things we normally do, like turning off the faucet before leaving the bathroom, flushing, turning off the stove and the gas tanks, turning off appliances. You can also teach this to the people around you who you notice tend to forget doing all these simple but necessary things. Try it and you'll see it would work, maybe not perfectly but it would, significantly. This could also be performed or practiced by any number of students in schools, colleges, universities, and all others or employees in offices, factories, and all others. I hope this Google article is helpful to you.
